Illinois Bar Exam Trends: What Advisors and Students Need to Know
Like many states, Illinois significantly revamped its bar exam last year, which affected both statewide bar passage and pass rates for each law school. This session will provide important information about bar exam changes and preparation, what law schools are doing to improve bar passage rates, and what information incoming students need to know before selecting a law school.

Student Loan Program Updates and Understanding Payback Options
Access Group will provide a comprehensive overview of the ever-changing federal student loan programs and payback options. We will also learn about important free resources Access Group can provide to pre-law advisors and students to help them be financially savvy about the law school investment.

1:00-2:00 Career Services in Today’s Legal Market (Panel)
Career Services professionals from Illinois Law will share trends and updates about today’s legal market, including what employers are looking for, what students can do to prepare for the job market now, and career development programs and services provided by the law school.
2:00-3:00 Session III
Negotiating Financial Aid Packages for Law School
Negotiating financial aid has become common for today’s law school applicant. During this session an admissions dean and a pre-law advisor will share strategies and tips to share with students to effectively approach this delicate conversation.
